Exploration of light and shadows

Master Plan

El Poblenou District

Barcelona

The exploration of a changing pace of life is represented in the sun dial effect. The division of space between the buildings is explored by the path of the sun, working both with and against the keeping of time; the light and shadows created in and around the buildings.

Bioclimatic Lattice

Bio - climatic Lattice

Recycled water is pumped to the upper part of the lattice, falling into the hollows of the brick through s drip irrigation system.

1

2

In its descent through the latticework, the ceramic absorbs the water through the pores of the clay.

3

The bricks are moistened, and when they come into contact with the hot air the water evaporates, generating a cooling effect.

The excess water is collected through a channel in the lower part of the lattice, from the water is recycled, creating a closed circuit that cools the environment with almost no energy demand.
